Instructor ~ GM Mikeal 'Bear' Smith
Mr. Smith is a second generation Black Belt from what was the original Chuck Norris lineage and former Chief Instructor for International Champion Harold Gross. He is the Founder of the PGR Self-rotection System(TM) and Co-Founder of the Independent Warriors Association (IWA).
Formal Martial Arts training began in mid-nineteen seventy with Tae Kwon Do and Modern Arnis followed by training in American Tang Soo Do and subsequently JuJitsu and NinJitsu. To this day, Mr. Smith continues his education and training in various systems with an emphasis on Close Quarters Combat and Self-Protection.
Mr. Smith is Soke and 9th Degree Black Belt in the PGR Self-Protection System(TM); Mr. Smith is a 5th Degree Black Belt in American Tang Soo Do; also ranked 4th Degree Black Belt in JuJitsu and 4th Degree Black Belt in NinJitsu. Mr. Smith is also an Advanced Instructor - SFC Unarmed Combatives (Force Necessary) and he is trained in Close Quarters Combat and Philippine Stick Fighting. Mr. Smith is educated in the healing practices of Japanese first aid and Chinese acupressure.

Competition - Wins include numerous Grand Champion, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the categories of fighting, forms, and weapons. Served as an appointed official for the USA Sport JuJitsu Team and former assistant coach for Dog Soldier Fight Team.

Instruction
Programs, classes, and seminars are designed for you and your lifestyle needs; such as Civilian (adults & mature juniors), Law Enforcement, Military, or Special World Travel. Regardless of which you choose, training is not a White Collar Black Belt Factory or 'McDojo' child care. Student safety and real results are a priority.
Instead of being one of the many faces in a large class going through the motions; semi-private classes offer a focused and faster learning environment with two to three times more quality training for the students.
